Choice

it is empowering, I am told.

I think it is not, it is dis-empowering because you have to make a choice.

To have the right (and sometimes the opportunity) is all good in all senses of the word good,

BUT,

because you have to make a choice, you have to choose, you no longer have that choice, because you have made your choice.

I know not what the alternative could be, but I suppose one could choose to keep having the same choices available, all the time, all through life, and maybe with more choices, but never really make a choice.

and yes, I know the counter argument would be:

would you rather not have a choice?

If that is your argument, then you are not hearing what I am trying to say (or allude to).

*sips on some juice.

NNa, I just hate that there is toooooooooooo much choice. Looking to buy a new car, and I just don't know what to get. There are just too many to choose from.
In the past cheaper cars were limited, now theres more than enough choice in that market too. What is a girl to do? I probably wont buy a new car then...not till I have less choice. The higher your income bracket, the less choice you have right? No?

but wait, relating more to what you are saying - have you ever thought that you actually have no thought. You know what they say, the future is already written. You AREN'T in control. If you THINK you have choice or control or whatever, you actually don't. You aren't choosing at all - it has already been done for you. You are merely a spectator that has been fooled into believiing you are the player.

Yep, I heard that on The Matrix --- choice is an illusion, between those that have and those that don't.

'tis probably true. question, who is the puppet master? and who makes the choices for him/her?

so what you are saying is that - why bother making the choice when the choice has already been made. Basically just live - coz we are already following instructions here. hm! - i hate being made to choose. Coz thats its unfair - now which one is right? coz left holds the same weight as right.
