no, I'm not going to tell how much I hate/loathe/detest or an inconvenience they are --- but I am wondering at what point did they become that.
I'm pretty sure a few years later after Henry Ford made his first million, laws where introduced to provide public safety from these auto mobiles. I'm sure a lot of people rejoiced at that fact.
Then a few more months later what happened?
I was walking from Rosebank to Illovo this afternoon, and just after the Hyatt the was a pseudo-road block --- I stood a few metres from it observing the expressions of those that were pulled-over(-to-the-side-of-the-road). All of them where not happy, they were angry, pissed, annoyed --- it made no sense --- if your ish is legit, then why worry --- in fact why worry at all, isn't obeying the law a good thing?
Or maybe talking about the nuisance traffic cops do is like talking 'bout the weather, small talk? I find it silly me thinks.
Or, maybe it's part of 'urban' culture? If so, where did it start and why has it become inherent in our culture for so long? Will we ever change and embrace our law-enforcing men and women for pulling us over and demanding we pay 600 bucks in 6 months?
I suppose it does feel like extorsion.
