Travelling

What is it about travelling that makes one want to do it? Why is it that at a particular age, around late teen's to meet twenties one wants to travel?  Why do I want to travel?  Why do you want to travel? Is it to escape this world, this life, or is it just a human instinctive condition to want to travel?

I wonder if the pre-historic man also wanted to travel, or was it in his nature to want to see what the 'earth' had to offer beyond the horizon, beyond the cave.

In the past two to three years everybody I know wants to travel, and in most cases it's europe they want to see.  I had a friend you just came back from Tokyo, Japan (i love writing it like this), he was there on business, I would have gone there for pleasure, though.

The worst thing about travelling is actually the planning of it.  It requires a bit more than just a fantasy, and it hurts evertime as the years go by (read: as one gets old) and you have not left, yet.  In the back of your mind, you still want to travel, but sadly, now and then, life gets in the way.

All you are left with is, "one day, one day."
